The Acer Ferrari 1005 notebook is being offered in a limited series in Japan, with only 700 units being sold. Some of its features include an AMD Turion 64×2 TL60 2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphic card and a 12.1 inch video display.

Stanford researchers have announced that they are working on an improvement to the Li-Ion batteries, that would increase the time they operate by 10 times. If your current battery works for 2 hours, then with this improvement it would last for 20.

According to a contributor from the Seeking Alpha site, what you see above might be the next major product from Apple. It’s called the Apple Newton and it’s a 5.2" UMPC that is supposed to be launched in the second half of 2008.
