Your Laptop Could Operate For Up To 20 Hours
Stanford researchers have announced that they are working on an improvement to the Li-Ion batteries, that would increase the time they operate by 10 times. If your current battery works for 2 hours, then with this improvement it would last for 20.
Instead of the standard carbon , these new batteries use anodes and Li-Ion batteries with silicon nanowire. By using nanotechnology, they managed to circumvent the usual problems that a silicon based battery has.
These batteries will be used for laptops, mobile phones, iPods and other similar devices.
